When most people hear the name Hope Home Inspections, they picture single-family homes, and that is a big part of what we do. But a lot of agents and buyers we work with do not realize we also inspect commercial properties across Southwest Florida. If you have a deal on an office building, a retail space, a warehouse, or a multi-family property, you do not need to go find a separate inspector. You can use the same team you already trust.
Commercial inspections carry higher stakes and more moving parts than a typical residential walkthrough, so it helps to know what to expect going in.
What a commercial inspection covers
A commercial property inspection looks at the major systems and components that keep a building running and protect your client’s investment. Depending on the property, that includes the roof and structure, the electrical service and distribution, HVAC systems, plumbing, the building envelope, parking areas and site drainage, and any visible safety concerns. The goal is the same as a home inspection: give the buyer a clear, honest picture of the property’s condition before they commit.
The difference is scale. A 20,000 square foot warehouse has different concerns than a strip retail unit, and a mixed-use building has both residential and commercial elements under one roof. We tailor the inspection to the property type rather than running everything through the same checklist.
Property types we inspect
We cover office buildings, retail and storefront spaces, warehouses and industrial units, and multi-family properties, along with restaurants, mixed-use buildings, and more. If you are not sure whether a property falls within what we do, just ask. The answer is usually yes.
Why agents keep using the same team
The agents we work with like that they can hand us a commercial deal and get the same responsiveness, the same clear reporting, and the same local knowledge they count on for their residential closings. We know Southwest Florida construction, we know the issues that come up in this climate, and we show up on time. There is real value in not having to vet a brand new inspector every time a commercial listing crosses your desk.
